November 2010

As I said in a notes section earlier . . . there are no prompts for November. November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) and this is my first year participating. Instead of prompts and responses being posted daily, I will be attempting to churn out approximately 1667 words every day. My NaNoWriMo project, Iron Shoes, can be viewed here: http://www.webook.com/project/Iron-Shoes. I would greatly appreciate any visits/comments/ratings, though you should keep in mind that this it will be written without any real editing so there are going to be issues. I hope you'll bear with me . . .

If I don't see you on that project - I'll see you all in December!

  1. Hyperbole, I found your site(s) a few days ago and have been mesmerized by your word choice as I've read over a few of your blogs and your Iron Shoes prologue! Although I teach English in a high school, I don't teach creative writing, and we only spend one quarter on it in my sophomore classes. However, I am an avid reader and can recognize aesthecially appealing writing when I see it.

With your blessing, I would like to use some of your blogs to inspire my aspiring writers.

I won't be able to check in daily, but you will hear from me now and then, and I will certainly follow Iron Shoes, as I am already taken by it. You have caught my curiosity about the woman, with her bedraggled appearance and her need to find Micah. The significance of the shoes is also keeping me scouring each page.

Your talent for the use of imagery will serve you well, and I can't wait to see what will be the first of many publications in the future! *Keep writing!

By the way, my limited time makes it too difficult to really figure out this blog site or the one you are using to write the Iron Shoes book; each site has so many options - if I had the time, I'd get more invested, but for now, I'll respond on this page.

  2. Redmen,

Thank you so much for your comments (I am grateful for any and all comments and readers). You are welcome to use posts from my blog to inspire - that is one purpose I only hoped it would serve.
